Available now, and specific about what I’m after.

A full-time, in-house product role in a team that wants to co-build its product with its customers.

The fit

Being clear saves us both a first call.

I’d rather rule myself out early than discover a mismatch in week three. Here’s the honest version of what I’m looking for – and what I’m not.

What I’m looking for

  • Full-time, in-house. Not agency, not contract
  • Senior IC or player-coach. I enjoy being hands-on when solving critical flows
  • Sitting with product and engineering as a peer, not downstream of them
  • Complex, information-dense products.
  • Genuine appetite for customer input, at whatever maturity it’s at today. I’ve started a practice from zero before

Probably not a fit if…

  • The role is pure people management with no design work in it
  • Design is expected to receive finished requirements and style them
  • Customer research is considered a nice-to-have that never gets scheduled
  • It’s short-term contract or fractional work
  • Time zones make async collaboration impossible – I’m in AEST and honest about it

Practicals

  • Based Remote VIC, Australia
  • Time zone AEST / Sydney
  • Overlap clean overlap with Austin afternoons & San Francisco
  • Travel happy to fly for onsites, workshops and offsites
  • Notice available now
  • References available, including the designer I hired who now leads the team I built

A view on your product

Send me the thing you’re wrestling with. I’d rather spend a first conversation on your problem than on my CV.
